BERMONDSEY & ROTHERHITHE CHESS CLUB

Mondays 7pm-9pm

This chess club, started last year for the benefit of local tenants and residents, is now well-established and welcomes chessplayers from all over the area. It meets every Monday

at the Millpond Tenants Hall, bang on the corner of Jamaica Road and Southwark Park Road, and just two minutes walk from Bermondsey tube station. Beginners receive instruction from an expert player. In May the club held their first chess championship. Come and have a game!

 SPANISH LESSONS

One resident on the estate is offering Spanish lessons for adults to be conducted in the Tenants’ Hall. If you are interested please get in touch with XX. Depending on the response we plan to run a class for beginners and intermediates.

 BINGO AFTERNOONS

We are planning to put on bingo afternoons for tenants and residents. If you are interested to participate please get in touch with the chair so we can let you know when the bingo will start. Also if anyone is willing to facilitate a bingo session please get in touch with the Chair.
